Bye, Bye Big Red!
August 29, 2019Treetime Design in the News!
Let's face it, monsoons are great for cooling off these dog days of summer, but they can cause a lot of unwanted and unnecessary damage. Take a look (and listen) at what we at Treetime Design recently had to say on AZ Family's News Channel, AZFamily powered by 3TV & CBS5AZ.
Preparing for the Monsoons
One of the best things you can do to prepare for the monsoons and avoid costly home repairs is trim your trees. If you avoid caring for your trees, two things can happen. The first and less damaging is: limbs can become too heavy and fall from the tree. If they are over your house, they can fall and damage the structure. Worse, if they fall to the ground they can harm or injure you, your family or your friends. Second, if your tree canopy is large and dense, it can act like a giant sail and when the wind picks up, the entire tree can fall down on your home, vehicle or property.
A Recent Project
Here is an example of a recent monsoon preparation project. Our team came in and thinned out the canopy of this beautiful tree so that the wind may pass through it easily. This takes the pressure off of the tree and it will be able to withstand higher winds without falling down and causing thousands of dollars of damage.
